Swania, which brings together the O'Cedar, Maison Verte and Baranne brands, needed to manage all its logistics flows with its various partners but also all its internal management processes.
Swania, sweet home products is a new SME in the mass retail sector, dedicated to home care and well-being. It was created by the acquisition of three historical brands - Baranne (now known as La Maison Baranne), Maison Verte and O'Cedar - and is dedicated to the home care sector. "The name Swania has several meanings," says Adrien Mangé, director of operations and finance at Swania. It is a symbol of ecological products in the Nordic countries and thus means well-being at home."
Baranne - a leather specialist since 1913 - offers a range of 24 references, particularly for shoe care. Maison Verte, a pioneer in ecological cleaning, has been taking care of the environment for 26 years and offers products for the maintenance of the whole house (dishwashing liquids and tablets), laundry and household cleaners. O'Cedar, a care specialist since 1913, ensures the most complete and easy maintenance of all surfaces, from wood to the most delicate.
The manufacture of the products is carried out in Europe by subcontractors and currently 90% of the activity is carried out in France. "Even if we are expanding internationally, particularly in Algeria and Belgium, our main development focus is organic growth," explains Adrien Mangé.
As a new SME, Swania needed to manage all its logistics flows with its various partners but also all its internal management processes, which is why it turned to VISEO.
"This project had a particular challenge."
"Swania having taken over the operational aspect from Reckitt Benckiser at the beginning of 2016, we decided to install an ERP with SAP Business One solutions with VISEO as the integrator. Without having a perfect knowledge of mass distribution from VISEO but with a motivated and enthusiastic team, we have successfully completed the project and the two teams, who have worked hand in hand, are the winners of this collaboration", explains Adrien Mangé.
Christian Jouy, SAP Business One VISEO manager in charge of the project, explains: "This project was a particular challenge because Swania was a brand new structure, for which we had to set up an ERP, with a Customer team that was being built as the project progressed. VISEO then proposed a package of three solutions in one (Business One, EDI, Colibri); a complete management solution to address the market."
"VISEO has risen to the challenge"
This project was also of particular interest as it was the first to be carried out on SAP HANA for VISEO Business One. "Thanks to it, we have developed new skills and developed our know-how in the field of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) on sales and purchasing flows (BL, reception, customer invoices). It is also the first joint project between Business One and Colibri - our sales forecasting tool - and EDI with our partner Fluid-e." continues Christian Jouy.
And for Adrien Mangé to add: "We appreciated Colibri, especially for its high adaptability. Making forecasts was part of our need for structuring as part of the company's start-up."
"We are satisfied with this collaboration," concludes Adrien Mangé. VISEO was able to meet the challenge: to carry out a project in a short time from scratch".
