Our change management expert explains the key steps to follow to ensure the success of projects.

Implementing an integrated management software package (ERP) is a strategic decision for each company that wishes to best meet the business challenges of development and efficiency.

This structuring choice implies major changes in the organizations that will have to be transformed.

Aware that 1 out of every 2 projects fails due to a lack of mastery of human factors. We help our clients to better control these changes in order to succeed in their projects and achieve the objectives set.

Leading change: An approach to project success

There are some exciting readings on this subject, of which here are, in my experience as Change Manager, the main key steps:

1. Anticipate: Imagine the target of the project (dream situation) and confront it with the current situation. Then characterize the nature and depth of the changes (path to follow) while trying to avoid as much as possible the pitfalls (anticipate the risks)

2. Involve: Create a dynamic of commitment around the project, sharing the vision and its impacts to begin to federate a "core" team, carrying the objectives and challenges

3. Giving meaning and desire: Communicating the reasons for change (the famous why?) to make employees understand and accept the vision and strategy

4. Co-construct: Empower the "living forces" to act on the modalities to reach the target and thus facilitate their adherence

5. Valuing: celebrating early successes and communicating them widely

6. Sustain: Anchor new behaviours until they become strong enough to replace old traditions

Managing change, a know-how

Supporting the transformation of our clients means above all listening to their challenges in order to define a tailor-made support.

To do this, we carry out a diagnosis in order to evaluate resistance to change, the impacts on the company's culture, organisation, processes or tools and implement all the levers to mobilise and engage the key players in the project (sponsorship, communication, co-construction workshops, network animation, training, coaching...)

The relevance of our actions is then assessed throughout the project by measuring the progress of the implementation of the transformations via associated dashboards and KPIs.
