Pharma distributor launches its online store with the help of VISEO

Powered by Salesforce technology, the new e-commerce tool enables improved customer experience, cost optimization, and real-time inventory management 

Our client, a market leader in pharmacy distribution in Spain with a 28.95% market share, has launched a digital e-commerce powered by Salesforce through VISEO, a multinational IT consulting firm specializing in digital transformation processes. 

 

The company picked VISEO to build a digital sales channel for non-prescription health and beauty products, against the background of the current digital challenges and the high level of competition in the pharmaceutical sector.  

 

In less than six months, VISEO has successfully designed a new e-commerce platform based on Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Fluent Commerce that is flexible and easy to use for all pharmacists and customers of the leading distribution company. 

An e-commerce platform for health

VISEO has created a new omnichannel platform for pharmacy partners based on Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Fluent Commerce. This project enables inventory integration and item consolidation, pharmacy pickup or home delivery process management. The project also allows for full customization of all purchasing processes and management of all stages of the order, including cancellations, returns, and billing to the end customer.

 

The integral development of the new e-commerce platform enables the distributor to apply daily updates on product prices via an external pricing intelligence tool and to maintain real-time inventory control, as well as many other benefits. 

 

The company can now manage 500,000 orders per year from 2,000 pharmacies, in an efficient and agile way. Meanwhile, the new cloud-based order and inventory management technology will help partner pharmacies develop their businesses and build customer loyalty, improving the experience and encouraging brand engagement throughout the customer journey. 

 

We wanted a new cloud-based platform that was easy for our pharmacists and customers to use. We didn't need heavy customization, but we did need to make sure that the order management platform could easily handle 500,000 orders per year from 2,000 pharmacies.
