Our client, an American luxury jewelry and specialty design house headquartered on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan known for its luxury goods, particularly its sterling silver and diamond jewelry, operates in over 300 stores globally as of today.

The Challenges
Our client, a prestigious high jewelry brand, faced several significant challenges:
- Aligning User and Customer Experience: Ensuring the POS system met the high standards expected by both users and customers.
- Tight Implementation Timeline: Completing the first implementation within 11 months and subsequent omnichannel services integration.
- Luxury Jewelry Specificities: Incorporating unique requirements such as valuation, Asset Liability Management (ALM), tax refunds, and tax exemptions.
- Centralized Organization: Coordinating from New Jersey, USA, while managing global operations.
- OMS Integration: Seamlessly integrating with the Order Management System (OMS) Sterling.
- Parallel Project Implementations: Aligning with concurrent projects, including ERP Sterling and Salesforce CRM.
- Localization Needs: Addressing specific localization requests from Singapore and Malaysia (SG/MY).
The Solution
To address these challenges, we implemented a customized POS CEGID Y2 project. The project was executed across multiple sites, including New York, Paris, Morocco, and Singapore/Malaysia (SG/MY), with a primary focus on the US market and subsequent roll-out to APAC.

The implementation of the tailored POS system yielded significant positive outcomes for our client:
- Adherence to Timelines: Successfully maintained the project timeline across different phases.
- Enhanced Mobility: Deployment of approximately 250 mPOS devices and 90 Verifone multiCRES units.
- Vertex Integration: Seamless integration for tax-related functionalities.
- Business-Specific Features: Efficient handling of deposits, servicing, and after-sales processes using mPOS serial numbers.
- Progressive Roll-Out: Strategic, zone-wise roll-out, ensuring smooth country-specific management with CEGID's country package.
- Successful APAC Deployment: Live deployment in SG/MY by June 2024, with necessary localizations for legal and fiscal requirements.
- Specialized Store Management: Effective management of airport stores and integration with local malls.
- Metal Information Display: Implementation of metal information display on receipts in Malaysia.
